Southwest Michigan has so much to offer, including entertainment for every age.
The southwest Michigan corridor has more than a dozen wineries to enjoy. It's no wonder we've been called, "The Napa Valley" of the Midwest. The temperate climate created from the waters of Lake Michigan creates an ideal atmosphere for our fruit to grow, producing phenomenal grapes that go into our world-class wines.
With more than 60 roadside markets and Pick-Your-Own farms, buying locally grown produce is a must in the southwest corridor. Apples, strawberries, and sweet corn, are only a few of the many foods Michigan is known for, but we rank in the top 10 states for producing many of your other favorites.
Do you like to golf? To many, a relaxing day at the golf course is an ideal getaway. With three private courses, and 17 public, you're sure to find the right green to practice your swing.
Just because you don't have a hill in your backyard, doesn't mean you can't snowboard or ski this winter. Check out Swiss Valley and Timber Ridge. Both well-known locations have everything needed for all winter recreational activities.
Southwest Michigan also offers great hunting and fishing year round. With more than five rivers, and 250 inland lakes, southwest Michigan has the best freshwater fishing around.
